12 Habits, Foods, and Mindsets that Helped Me Lose 35 Pounds
Everyone has a different approach to weight loss…
Below are just a few habits, foods, and mindsets that helped one person lose 35 pounds in preparation for their wedding.
1) I have once again broken my sugar addiction. All it took was 3 months of avoiding processed sugars in the form of cake, cookies, and sweets. I have a nonpareil for my lunch and enjoy it alone.
2) I'm getting used to the food noise. I like to eat, but I don't need to gorge on 3000 calories to survive.
3) If I see something I want, I ask myself, "Do I want this food more than the other one I saved for later?" Most of the time, no.
4) If I'm hungry, I have a diet Coke (it's not healthy, but I like the taste).
5) I drink my calories for breakfast.
6) For lunch, I'll have a big veggie salad, marinated chicken breast, and ginger dressing, with fruit on the side.
7) Going to the gym. It's made me happier because I find it easier to walk now. I can keep up with my mom and my friends.
8) Chester's puff corn. And also miso soup.
9) Watching a 600-pound life. I see that if I continue to eat like I do, I can develop problems.
10) Having my fiance and family admit I'm heavy. It's so much easier for me to get in the mindset to lose weight when I KNOW others see my weight.
11) Getting on different anti-depressants.
12) This is a reminder that I want to lose weight for myself and my fiance, and I want it all down by June 2025, when I get married.
