Top 3 Tips to Rejuvenate Facial Skin After Rapid Weight Loss
You probably think if you lose the weight you want to lose, your problems will end…
But that’s not always the case. It certainly wasn’t the case for one woman who lost 50 lbs in a short time span. She said she “went from baby face 👶 to middle-aged face 👵 ” almost overnight.
Here’s her story and the top 3 things she found the most helpful to shrink everything back up.
I quickly lost a lot of weight on Mounjaro. Probably 50 lbs or more. It's hard to tell you exactly because I started postpartum and don’t truly know my starting weight, but at 5’3, it was pretty significant for me.
I always looked young, probably because my face was bloated. After losing weight, I was shocked to see how much I had aged. Also a little loose skin in double chin area. I was very upset.
First, I believe time helped shrink everything back up by maybe 60%, but going from a baby face to a middle-aged face just sent me over the top.
The things I found most helpful were:
#1 Red Light Therapy
#2 tretinoin
#3 creams serums
Red Light Therapy has made the biggest difference of these three. I have one for the neck and one for the face. I probably use it around five times a week for 20 minutes. I don’t think you need to do 20 minutes, but I’m a more is more girl.
This made the biggest difference as I started using it almost a year after starting tretinoin and all the other skincare things. It has an immediate plumping hydrating effect, but after about 3 months, I saw the biggest changes.
News Highlight: Are We a Step Closer to Treating AMD with Red Light Therapy?
Red light has been shown to improve declining eyesight, with one particular study showing promise for patients diagnosed with dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
There’s a lot of science 🔬 behind it all, so we won’t bore you with too much of it.
The short version is Red Light Therapy helps recharge your cells’ mitochondria as they age… and your eyes have a lot of mitochondria.
If you’re like us and you really only barely finished biology class, mitochondria are the parts of your cells that produce energy ⚡️ Your eyes have a lot because they use a LOT of energy 👀
So, long story short, Red Light Therapy helps the cells in your eyes produce more energy, which helps keep your eyesight better even as you age.
